Last week we got fantastic news about MOS.

But first I want to share that in an effort to document the start of MOS, Hazel and I will be periodically sharing updates, musings, and anecdotes as we navigate the uncharted territory of founding, incorporating, funding, and managing a hybrid, for-profit, resilience education organization.  Our dream is that our story will one day inspire a generation of social entrepreneurs to thoughtfully revisit their good ideas and set them into motion.

So what was all this about fantastic news?

As of March 27th, 2016 MOS is officially incorporated as Maine Outdoor School, L3C!  Our incorporation marks the birth of a new organization in the State of Maine. More importantly, however, our incorporation marks the point in which our imagination, our vision, and our planning take a physical and legal form. MOS is no longer simply a thing to dream about or a wish that may never come true. Here marks the point in time in which MOS transitions into the realm of reality, of action, and of impact.
