About Maine Outdoor School

Maine Outdoor School (MOS) is a mission-driven outdoor education organization bringing hands-on, nature-based learning to schools, community groups, and families across Eastern Maine.

Our programs are designed to meet people where they are—whether on local trails, in schoolyards, or through virtual experiences—making outdoor learning accessible, flexible, and meaningful for all ages.

Today, MOS is powered by a passionate team of educators, naturalists, and community partners dedicated to building confidence through outdoor skills, fostering environmental knowledge, and strengthening community resilience.
